Chef Jen started out her baking career being a self-taught baker, specializing in cake pops. She ran her own small business for over four years until she moved to Illinois. Customers had started asking about fancy decorated cakes, and Jen knew she needed more training and education before tackling that task. So she enrolled in Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts Baking & Pastry diploma program.
After completing the diploma program, Jen took a full-time position as a baker at a commercial chain bakery. She quickly advanced to Head Baker, then to Shift Lead, and then Manager. She was honored when she was offered a tutor position at Escoffier, which then led to a full-time position as a Chef Instructor, and then Pastry Lead Chef Instructor.
Now Chef Jen enjoys helping others achieve their dreams, all the while continuing to live out her dream of baking beautiful creations.
