Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts is hosting a mystery basket competition where your students have the opportunity to compete for prizes and scholarships. This a great opportunity for your high school students to get creative, have fun and test their talents.
We will also have:
Chef demos throughout the day
Music and fun
When: April 17th 2015, check in no later than 9:30 a.m.
Where: Austin Campus
6020-B Dillard Circle, Austin, TX 78752
Dress code: Long pants, non-slip shoes, hat or cap and shirt that protects the body
Judging criteria: Sanitation & safety, teamwork, timing, technique, plate presentation, taste, creativity
Teams: Each team is to have four participants. They will then have exactly 1-hour to work together to create a dish to present to the judges. There are three different time slots throughout the day. Time slots will be picked at random.
What to bring: Your owns chef’s knife (or one will be provided upon request)
There will be three sessions and your teams time will be picked at random:
10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
1:00 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
Winners will be announced at 2:30 p.m.
