Learn to Cook with Locally-sourced Ingredients

In our Culinary Arts program

Aromatic peaches, pink heirloom potatoes, free-range lamb – our Culinary Arts curriculum includes an experiential, three-week, off-site Farm To Table® Experience. This is your opportunity to get exposed to an in-depth knowledge of where food comes from through a hands-on participation at local farms and ranches.

This experience will transform your relationship with food and cooking:

  • Local Focus, Global Impact: Go behind the scenes to understand what it takes to bring locally produced ingredients to the kitchen.
  • A Direct Connection to Farmers: Gain extraordinary respect for ingredients as you experience the efforts involved in growing produce and raising livestock.
  • Real Farming Methods & Techniques: Your experience may include harvesting, permaculture, planting, hydroponics and more.

Live the Farm To Table® Experience. Apply for Culinary Arts classes starting in April!

The Farm To Table® Experience has been a lot of fun, a lot of work, but a lot of fun. It is so beneficial to see how much time and sacrifice these farmers take to make the food we are cooking. It has made me much more appreciative of the food I am cooking with.”– Nicole Portillo, Culinary Arts 2013 Graduate
