Crave to open in Austin with regional menuA new steak and sushi restaurant will soon open its doors in Austin. Crave Restaurant, which has locations in Florida, Nebraska, Ohio and Minnesota, is set to launch its first Texas-based eatery. This latest brick-and-mortar shop will be located at 340 E. 2nd Street, adjacent to the Austin Convention Center. According to Austin 360, Crave will open its doors to the public on Feb. 10.

In addition to the signature fare of steak and sushi entrees, there will be dishes that focus on regional cuisine. Chef Frank Johnson has designed the custom menu that will feature a jalapeno cornbread skillet, bourbon-glazed double pork chops and a blackened redfish. The drink menu will feature an award-winning wine list, craft cocktails and 38 tap beers, with 22 being from the Texas area. The signature menu items include a range of pastas, flatbreads, salads, sandwiches and seafood dishes. Additionally, the chefs will take care to use seasonal ingredients.

This new location encompasses 8,500 square feet and features an outdoor patio and lounge. In addition to the formal dining area, there are two private spaces that can be rented for corporate events and other functions.
