According to Fox News, three franchises of the popular restaurant chain Taco Bueno will soon be debuting in Colorado Springs. The Texas-based restaurant has already developed a loyal following in the Southwest and is expected to prove successful as it moves into this new market. Groundbreaking for the first of the three restaurants was held in late February, with the other two ceremonies scheduled in the near future.

“We’re anything but fast food,” Jeff Carl, the chief marketing officer for Taco Bueno, told The Colorado Springs Gazette. Carl’s comments are in reference to Taco Bueno’s effort to distinguish itself from traditional fast food restaurants. The franchise makes a point of preparing ingredients fresh every day, as opposed to recycling prepackaged items. The chain defines itself instead, as a ‘quick service’ institution, where patrons can drop in or hit the drive-thru for a bite on the run.

The three locations will be spread out across the Colorado Springs community, with the first being located at 7970 North Academy Boulevard. The other two will be found at the intersection of Dublin and Tutt Boulevards and at 538 West Garden of the Gods Road, respectively.

The opening of these restaurants is expected to have a considerably positive impact on the community, as Fox has also reported that roughly 100 jobs are estimated to be generated by the new franchises. While only time will tell if the residents of Colorado Springs will react warmly to the establishments, Taco Bueno will certainly provide a great option for folks on the run.
