Sharpen your culinary skills while earning continuing education credits with Escoffier at this year’s COMPLIMENTARY Virtual Summer High School Educators Workshop! Through a combination of self-paced online learning and a live culinary demonstration, you’ll explore the fundamentals of plant-based cooking, gain practical classroom insights, and discover techniques you can bring back to your students.

How to Sign Up and Earn Credit for the Workshop: 2-Step Process*

Step 1: Create Account and Complete the Building the Plant-Based Plate Module –  The self-paced module will be available from Monday, July 6, through Tuesday, July 14. To get started, visit highschool.escoffier.edu and create an account using your email address. If you already have an account, simply log in with your existing credentials.

  • You must complete this module before the live demo on July 14th.

Step 2: Register and Attend the Live Demonstration and Q & A – The live virtual demonstration will be held on Tuesday, July 14, from 12:00 pm–1:30 pm CT via Zoom from Escoffier’s Global Filming Studio. Register now by clicking here! 

Important: Please use the same email address for both registrations. This helps us confirm your module participation with your attendance at the live demonstration.

*Earn a total of 6 Continuing Education credit hours. You must complete the learning module and attend the live virtual demo to fully receive credit. (Subject to attendees school/district approval)

Building the Plant-Based Plate Module

  • Explore best practices for preparing vegetables and starches
  • Develop techniques for cooking plant-based proteins
  • Apply traditional center-of-the-plate concepts to create visually appealing dishes

Virtual Demonstration Menu: 3-Course Meal

  • Appetizer: Garlic Naan
  • Entrée: Chana Masala with Steamed Basmati Rice
  • Dessert: Cinnamon Sugar Naan with Mango Chutney and Mango Lassi Foam
