Active duty and veteran personnel, as well as certain family members, are eligible for special grants offered to support them in their culinary passions and dreams.

Veteran Administration Benefits
Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts is approved by the Colorado Office of Veterans Education and Training, and Texas State Approving Agency for the administration of VA Education benefits to those eligible. Veteran Administration Benefits may be available to qualifying students enrolled in approved programs offered through our Austin and Boulder campuses (including the Online/Distance Learning programs). Eligible Veterans, their spouses, and children, may qualify to participate in the Montgomery GI Bill® (MGIB) – Chapter 30, Post-9/11 GI Bill® – Chapter 33, Dependents Educational Assistance (DEA) – Chapter 35, Montgomery GI Bill® -Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR) – Chapter 1606, or Reserves Educational Assistance Program (REAP) – Chapter 1607. Our Financial Aid staff is trained to assist students through the process of applying to secure potential benefits *The Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense are the determining bodies of benefit eligibility. Military Tuition Assistance
Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts participates in the Department of Defense (DoD) Voluntary Education Partnership to offer educational programs to Service members and receive Tuition Assistance. Service members in the Army, including the National Guard and Selected Reserves, Navy, including the Selected Reserves, Air Force, including the National Guard and the Selected Reserves, and the Marine Corps, including the the Selected Reserves may qualify to receive Tuition Assistance. Service members should meet with their Education Officer to assess benefit eligibility. Military Tuition Assistance may be available to qualifying students enrolled in approved programs offered through our Boulder campus (including the online diploma and degree programs). Please reach out to the education office on your respective base to start the approval process.

Each branch of the US Military offers a Tuition Assistance (TA) program to Active and/or Reserve Military Service members. TA can cover up to $167 per quarter credit hour, not to exceed the amount per Military Fiscal Year based on branch of service.
Note: You will Submit the APPROVED TA form to Escoffier’s Financial Aid Office.

Yellow Ribbon Program
Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts is a proud participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program. The Yellow Ribbon Program is a provision of the law that created the Post-9/11 GI Bill®. The program allows approved institutions of higher learning and the VA to partially or fully fund tuition and fee expenses that exceed the established thresholds under the Post-9/11 GI Bill®. MYCAA – Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts
Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts participates in the Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) Program which is an employee assistance program that provides up to $4,000 of financial assistance to eligible military Spouses. Available to qualifying students enrolled in approved programs offered through our Austin and Boulder campuses (including the online diploma and degree programs offered through our Boulder campus). Please reach out to the education office on your respective base to start the approval process.
Grant Amounts and Eligibility
Qualifying military personnel will receive $1,000 to assist in the expenses of the Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts program. The group of eligible members also includes the Drilling National Guard, Drilling Reservist Service Members as well as spouses and dependents of honorably discharged veterans. Students that have completed the admissions application process, validated their military status, and have a remaining financial need will be considered for the Veterans Spouse/Dependent Grant. State Employment Certification/Licensure Disclosure
The programs offered by Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts (AESCA) do not require a certification or state board licensure to be employed. AESCA will monitor state requirements and update this section if certification or licensure becomes a requirement for employment.

Financial Aid available to those who apply and qualify
Financial Aid Expectations: In most cases the Financial Aid process can take 10-14 days to complete.
The Department of Education Award year runs from July 1st to June 30th of the following year. Refer to this time frame when completing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in relation to the start of your program. The Financial Aid office asks that you complete the FAFSA prior to your first day of class, however this is not a requirement to begin classes. Federal Funding is not given on a first come first serve basis as it is based on your individual eligibility as determined by the Department of Education. The office of Financial Aid at Escoffier will accept the FAFSA and process it upon receipt. Please call our office at (877) 452-5489 ext. 1 with any questions.
