About
Chef Doug’s entrepreneurial experience includes owning an award-winning catering and event design company and a wedding cake shop. He was the winner of Food Network’s Christmas Cookie Challenge in 2017. He’s been named Best Young Chef in USA and Best Young Chef International early on in his career.
While earning an Associate of Occupational Studies degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s in Food Service Management, Doug was also was a member of the first U.S. Collegiate Culinary Team taking gold at Hotelympia, London, and the Culinary Olympics (IKA HOGA) Germany.
In 2007, Chef Doug started redirecting his career into education. He has previously taught at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, OIC of New London, and Upper Cape Tech in Bourne, MA.
Chef Doug has approached his life & career with this simple motto… Enjoy the journey and the destination will reveal itself.
