About

Chef Michael La Flair pursued his culinary education at the Italian Culinary Academy and has gone on to work at the iconic Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen where he was a semi-finalist for the James Beard Award.

He attended The University of Alabama for his undergraduate degree in business management and political science. After graduating, he found himself drawn to the culinary industry and began his career working his way up from prep cook to kitchen manager in different kitchens.

After attending culinary school to help him reach his future goals as a chef, Michael found a new calling in teaching and is currently a Lead Chef Instructor at Escoffier.
