Step 3: Apply for Financial Aid

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) to determine your eligibility for financial aid.

What is required to apply and enroll at Escoffier?

Austin Admissions Requirements:

  • Application for Admission
  • AESCA Enrollment Agreement (inclusive of written permission of parent or guardian if under 18)
  • Proof of High School Completion or Equivalent
    • High School Diploma
    • High School Equivalency Exam: GED, HiSet, or TASC
    • State Approved Home School Certificate of Completion
    • Official College Transcript from a Completed Associate or Higher Degree Program*; or
    • For U.S. Veterans, DD-214 which reflects High School Equivalency
  • Admissions Interview
  • Tour of Facility
  • Record of Previous Education & Training (CSC-010)
  • Receipt of Enrollment Policies (CSC-005)
  • Information Release Form (FERPA)

*Degree must be in a program that fully matriculates into a bachelor’s level program

Boulder Admissions Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
  • Application for Admission
  • AESCA Enrollment Agreement (inclusive of written permission of parent or guardian if under 18)
  • Proof of High School Graduation or Equivalent must be obtained through one of the following examples:
    • High School Diploma or Transcript
    • High School Equivalency Exam: GED, HSED, HiSet, or TASC
    • Documentation demonstrating that the student has passed a state-authorized examination that the state recognizes as the equivalent of a high school diploma
    • Official College Transcript from a Completed Associate or Higher Degree Program from an accredited institution
    • 60 completed college semester credits or 90 completed college quarter credits from one accredited institution
    • State Recognized Home School Certificate of Completion*
    • For U.S. Veterans, DD-214 which indicates High School Equivalency
  • Admissions Interview

*Homeschool documentation as required by local and or state agencies, not limited to the following: notification to the required agency, academic transcripts, and proof of graduation.

How long does the application process take?

The application process length can vary depending on when all forms are submitted. Students can begin the application process online (link to apply page) and residential campus students will have to submit additional forms via docusign after speaking with an admissions representative.

After you complete the form, an Admissions representative will reach out to:

  • Conduct an admissions overview and discuss further steps needed to complete your application.
  • Guide you through any additional requirements.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis for upcoming class terms.

When do I apply for scholarships and financial aid?

The timing to apply for scholarships and financial aid can vary depending on the type of aid. A key step is filling out the Federal Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA®), which will determine a student’s eligibility for federal financial aid; you can fill out the FAFSA® before you even apply. Students are encouraged to work with Escoffier’s Financial Aid department to explore options like student loans, grants, and scholarships.

Can I apply if I don’t have a high school diploma or GED?

Proof of high school completion or its equivalent is required to enroll at Escoffier.

For the Boulder, Colorado, campus, including online programs, this proof can be one of the following:

  • High school diploma or transcript
  • High school equivalency exam: GED, HSED, HiSet, or TASC
  • Documentation demonstrating that the student has passed a state-authorized examination that the state recognizes as the equivalent of a high school diploma
  • Official College Transcript from a Completed Associate or Higher Degree Program from an accredited institution

What financial aid and scholarships are available?

There are a number of funding sources and federal financial aid options available to those who apply and qualify. These can include:

  • Federal Grants
  • Federal Student and Parent Loans
  • Federal Work-Study Jobs

A wide range of merit-based or need-based scholarships may also be available, plus personal circumstances and location-specific scholarships; school-specific scholarships; competition-based scholarships; veteran and military scholarships; demographic-based scholarships; and employer-based scholarships. Throughout the enrollment process, students may choose to work with Escoffier’s Financial Aid department to secure student loans, grants, and scholarships to fund their programs.
