Chef Juanita McMillion

About

Chef Juanita McMillion serves as an Academic Tutor at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. A proud graduate of Escoffier’s Pastry Arts program, she brings an artist’s eye and a baker’s heart to her role, supported by over 20 years of experience as a professional cake decorator and educator.

Chef Juanita specializes in custom cakes, wedding cakes, and elegant celebration pieces. She is equally passionate about the precision of Danish pastries and laminated doughs, counting classic croissants among her favorite items to bake.

By blending classic techniques with modern creativity, she emphasizes quality, detail, and unforgettable flavor in every creation. Her background also includes strong entrepreneurial experience, having previously owned and operated three beauty salons and spas.

With two decades of experience teaching and mentoring in pastry, baking, and hospitality, Chef Juanita focuses on curriculum development, practical skills, and professional excellence. She is dedicated to building confidence and a strong work ethic in her students. Whether in the kitchen, the classroom, or the community, her mission is to merge art and technique to inspire, uplift, and leave a lasting impression.

Outside of work, Juanita is a painter and practices Native American beadwork. Her go-to tool is her countertop mixer, which she says she reaches for almost every time, whether she’s making bread, cakes, or frosting.
