Find the best burgers in Austin here!If you’re taking classes at an Austin culinary arts school, then you already know that the city offers an absolutely incredible array of fine cuisine. Between beautifully crafted steakhouses, seafood restaurants, and any other number of incredible establishments, it can be easy to get caught up in rankings and ratings lists. Still, some of the best food available in this Texas paradise isn’t necessarily going to be found at restaurants that require reservations and have dress codes. Austin has become known for its incredible variety of diverse takes on the classic American hamburger. If you’re looking for a great spot to get your grub on in the Lone Star State, then take a look at some of the best burgers in Austin:

Wholly Cow Burgers
According to multiple sources, Wholly Cow has been a favorite of burger elitists for some time, but has managed to fly under the radar. This is due largely in part to the fact that Wholly Cow Burgers isn’t just a burger joint, it’s also a convenience store. Well, what could be much more convenient than stopping by on your way home for a six pack or some cereal and leaving with one of these fantastically prepared burgers. Thrillist has reported that Wholly Cow exclusively uses locally grown beef that is additive and hormone free. However, that all-natural taste is only the beginning of its great burgers, as the store also offers a wide array of toppings and cheeses to accentuate your dish. Better still, each burger is served on a sweet Hawaiian roll.

Chicken burgers of Austin, TexasHopdoddy
If you’ve ever had a conversation about where to grab a great, simple bite to eat in Austin, then you’ve probably already heard of Hopdoddy. One of the most celebrated burger restaurants in the entire city, Hopdoddy has solidified itself as a mainstay that will likely be around for years to come. If you get the chance to check out this local treasure, CultureMap Austin recommends trying out the PrimeTime burger. This burger is made with the finest Kobe beef, which immediately distinguishes it from the competition. The toppings available for this masterpiece include arugula, brie, truffle aioli and more.

Casino El Camino
This restaurant has been honored by the Austin Monthly as having one of the 24 best burgers in the city, and you’d be hard pressed find anyone to dispute that. Casino El Camino was known almost exclusively for its beer selection until the Food Network gave them a feature in 2008. Now, According to Austin Monthly, the restaurant and bar sells nearly 1,000 burgers each week. Casino El Camino offers its famous Pitts Burger among tons of other varieties, and uses homemade buns from the neighboring New World Bakery to provide a signature touch.
