Let’s face it. Being an adult doesn’t come with a lot of perks. Bills, laundry, work and cleaning rank high on the list of responsibilities that take up the majority of your time. But if there’s one perk to being in the golden years of life that makes all the hassle a little better, it’s being able to enjoy a little liquid courage now and again. Snow fights and sledding days are now overtaken with hours of shoveling driveways but that doesn’t make the effect a nice big mug of hot chocolate can have on the psyche and the soul. Especially when that particular cup of cocoa also has a little help from Mr’s Beam or Jameson. With just the right amount of chocolate, sugar, cream and, of course, booze, this recipe easily takes the place of our new favorite winter drink. 8 oz dark chocolate
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1/8 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp vanilla extract
4 tbsp dark rum, bourbon or whiskey
Directions
1. Heat the milk over medium low heat in a medium size saucepan. Break the chocolate into pieces and add into the milk as well as the sugar and the cinnamon.
