If you’re as much an avid lover of butter as we are, then you run through that stuff pretty quickly. Whether it be for cooking or baking, butter is a staple used in most of the recipes we tend to make, and for good reason. The richness that it adds to a dish can not be matched by anything else. Except for maybe this—fresh butter. And don’t worry, you don’t need one of those old fashioned butter churners, a house in the country and a bonnet to do it. You can use a blender, food processor or standing mixer to create the agitation need to turn cream into butter. Just pour the heavy whipping cream in, turn it on and watch it go. Then just take some cheese cloth, gently squeeze out the remaining water and call it a day. You can make flavored butters, you can freeze it for later use or eat it fresh with some warm bread.
