Students in culinary school programs in Colorado may want to head out to Post Brewing Company in Lafayette later this month for their chance to see a number of high-profile chefs in action. On Sunday, August 3, the restaurant will be holding a fundraiser called Jack’s Block Party to benefit children with autism. Proceeds from the event will go to the Autism Society of Boulder County. Specifically, the money generated by the event will be donated to the Jack Ferrigno Send a Kid to Camp Grant Fund. The Jack Ferrigno fund was started by Brett Smith, who is a partner and one of the chefs at Post Brewing Company, in memory of his son’s friend Jack who passed away.
The event, in true Post Brewing Company fashion, will feature a plethora of good food. Seven chefs are slated to appear and prepare dishes alongside Smith. Among them are Hosea Rosenberg of the heavily acclaimed Blackbelly, Rick Betance of La Revolucion, Drew Honness from Sweet Cow, Justin Goerich from Zolo and Jed Bednarski of Vida Cantina. Post will have its beer available for sale and will be joined in providing beer and cocktails by Odd13 Brewing, Wonderland Brewing, Industrial Revolution Brewing and Dulce Vida Organic Tequila.
Tickets are available online through Black Tie Colorado and there will be an optional raffle during the event.
