Austin Food & Wine Festival announcedTexas Culinary school students may want to mark their calendars, as the dates for the next Austin Food & Wine festival have officially been announced. According to Austin 360, the festival will take place between April 24-26, 2015, featuring local cuisine and spirits from sommeliers and vineyards across the city and the Southwest as a whole. While the details regarding which chefs, brewers and restaurants will be in attendance at this year’s festival are still somewhat hazy, Austin residents can expect a star-studded cast of culinary superstars. In 2014, the festival included demonstrations and appearances by Richard Blaid, Rick Bayless, Aaron Franklin, Paul Qui, Graham Elliott, and Georgia Pellegrini, among others.

Though the festival won’t take place until spring of 2015, residents of Austin who also make a point of capitalizing on the city’s incredible music scene may be able to get a sneak peek of the action. According to CultureMap Austin, the annual culinary celebration is making an early appearance this year at the famed Austin City Limits music festival. The outdoor concert series, which takes place each autumn and has grown in popularity exponentially across the last decade, will feature a select number of chefs and vendors slated to appear at the Austin Food & Wine Festival. While the list of specific chefs and restaurants scheduled to appear won’t be released until late September, the roster is sure to please culinary enthusiasts.

Those looking for the Austin Food & Wine Festival affiliated chefs while at Austin City Limits this autumn are encouraged to look in the “Austin Eats” area of Zilker Park. Among other foodie-friendly treats, the showcase should feature a new regional chef each day and a rotating menu of gourmet takes on festival favorites.
